REVIEW: NEW Benefit They’re Real Tinted Primer

This launches December 26th 2015.

Where to buy: This is just a sample size Click here

Or it will be available on Sephora around Dec 26, 2015  Click here

Cost: $10.00 for the sample and $24.00 for the full size

How to apply:

  1. Prime for drama: Layer under they’re real! lengthening mascara to dramatically boost length & wear
  2. Go solo: Wear alone to tint & define lashes for a feathery, natural look

First Impressions:

I was super excited to try this because I love the They’re Real! Lengthening Mascara and the Roller Lash Curling & Lifting Mascara. This has the same kind of applicator as the They’re Real Mascara but it is smaller. Also, the formula  isn’t as stiff as the They’re Real Lengthening mascara. When I first applied it, it just seemed like a regular brown mascara.  It would look great on a no makeup look day.  I let it dry for a minute or and then applied Benefit Roller Lash Mascara (I prefer it over the They’re real Mascara). I thought it was fine but not life changing.  It worked just as good as what I normally do. Typically I put a light coat of Voluminous Million Lashes Mascara as a primer and then use the Roller Lash on top.

Holds a curl. I like that it is tinted and not white. I didn’t notice any flaking.

Full size is expensive. I didn’t feel like it does anything too spectacular especially for the price. I don’t feel like I have any volume or length. See the bottom picture.

I am not sure what the hell my eyebrow is doing so just ignore it
Final product with mascara on top. I am not sure what the hell my eyebrow is doing so just ignore it.

Pass or buy?

In my opinion I say pass. I think you can get the same type of look with a much cheaper product. If you really want it then I would buy the sample size.
