REVIEW: NEW L’Oréal True Match Lumi Cushion Foundation

Where to buy: Click here

Cost: $16.99

12 shades in cool, neutral and warm. I was intrigued by this foundation because it says “Lumi” and because of the “cushion”. This is the only cushion foundation by the drugstore that I know of right now. I bought mine at Walgreens in the color Classic Buff (N 3.5). I have very dry skin in the winter so I thought I would give it a try

First Impressions:

When you press the applicator sponge into it, the consistency is very wet and liquid. I felt like the sponge absorbed a lot of the product. The way I applied it is just tap the product onto my face with the applicator and blend it together with the same sponge. It went on very orange…even though it says it is a neutral color. I don’t feel like the coverage is that good. It is definitely light to medium. Personally I felt like it looked like I was wearing a tinted moisturizer. I tried to build it up but it just didn’t look good.

Pros:

Good for touch ups. Has a variety of shades.

Cons:

Pretty expensive for the amount of product you get 0.52 oz . I was disappointed that the neutral color seemed orange. I think it is too gimmicky and lacks the quality.

Pass or buy?

In my opinion I say pass. There are other drugstore foundations out there that are cheaper and work WAY better. For example: L’Oréal True Match Lumi Healthy Luminous Makeup or Maybelline Fit Me Dewy + Smooth Foundation. These have way better coverage and they are luminous.
