OOOOH I was so excited to see this NEW Kat Von D Lock-It Concealer and Setting Powder on both the Sephora site and Kat Von D Site!!! I am a concealer jumnkie and I will always try new concealers and powder that come out. I have dry skin and it is so hard to find the perfect concealer. I love most of Kat Von D’s products so I was hoping these were just the same.

Lock-It Concealer Crème $26
What it does:
Lock-It Concealer Crème does everything a traditional concealer does, and then some: it brightens the undereye area, covers blemishes, corrects discoloration, contours, and bakes. This next level formula applies smoothly and blends easily for a locked-down, smooth, even finish. With a wide array of shades, Lock-It Concealer Crème offers one of the most extensive shade ranges in concealer. Select the perfect under eye corrector and exact skintone concealing shade with easy-to-navigate names that feature the undertone. The shade range even includes a pure white, White Out, for dramatic highlighting and mixing into other shades to create custom tones.
Loaded with complexion-brightening pigments and ultra-nourishing Hydra-Boost Complex™, this formula is crease-proof and hydrating—ideal for the delicate under eye area. The artistry applicator was modeled after an artist’s paintbrush, with a tapered tip for precise corners and a wide base to efficiently coat larger areas.
Lock-It Setting Powder $30
What it is:
A weightless translucent loose powder, formulated with Micro-Blurring Technology™, to set and perfect for a flawless, locked-in finish.
What it does:
Experience a next level setting powder. Kat Von D’s innovative formula uses delicate mica powders rather than the heavy, chalky binding ingredients found in other powders—reducing the weight by 30 percent. This prevents the dry, chalky finish most powders leave behind, and instead delivers a perfectly smooth, seamless look, with the same number of uses.
This silky, non-drying powder features Micro-Blurring Technology to softly diffuse pores for a refined, selfie-ready finish. Formulated to be undetectable on all skintones, Lock-It Setting Powder has a complexion-boosting blend of mattifying particles to smooth imperfections and lock-in your look for a velvety matte finish. For flawless all-over setting, apply with the Lock-It Setting Powder Brush.
So far I really like this concealer. I bought two shades since I wasn’t sure what colors I would need. I bought Light 13 Cool and Light 9 Neutral. There are so many shades to choose from – which is a definite thumbs up. She even has a plain white color!! No one else has that.
I can use both colors depending on the season or if I mix them together. The formula is VERY full coverage which I LOVE!! It has a nice doe foot applicator so it’s easy to apply.
The formula isn’t as creamy as the NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer or the new Too Faced Born This Way Concealer. This formula is a little more dry and more tacky. You have to work really quickly because it dries and sets so fast. I will say that this is more pigmented and full coverage though. It takes a little bit more to blend it out just because it dries so quick and it is a thick consistency.
It looks really good under the eyes. I was worried because I have dry skin but so far this looks amazing! It last ALL day and doesn’t budge. People with oily skin will love this concealer but I don’t know how well it will work with really dry skin or a lot of lines. Let me know if you have that kind of skin type and if it worked.
Lock-It Setting Powder
I was a little skeptical about this powder, well I guess I am with any translucent powder. Since I have dry skin sometimes translucent powders don’t look that great. This powder is actually really good. It is so smooth and silky and milled so very fine. It is translucent and it looks gorgeous on the skin. I have used it to set my full face and to set my under eyes and it works great! I think this might be everyone’s new favorite instead of the Laura Mercier Invisible Loose Setting Powder. I think this Kat Von D powder is way better! I honestly think this powder will work for all skin types. It is an A+ in my book.
The swatches were hard to get so I layered it on thick so you can see. It definitely hides pores, fine lines and helps to blur everything out.
So far I am really loving these products! The packaging is to die for – just like all of KVD products!
