SWATCHES + Review: Maybelline FaceStudio Master Contour Palette

 Where to buy: Click here

Cost: $12.99

Initially I didn’t want to buy this because I felt like the contour shade wasn’t much of a contour shade and for some reason the packaging wasn’t appealing to me. But I gave in and bought it because I thought the blush and highlight looked good.

Keep reading for my swatches and review…

First Impressions:

I didn’t use the brown color for contouring, instead I applied it like a blush and then added the pink color on top of it. I love the way they blend out together and complement each other. I don’t use the contour shade on my forehead or jaw line because I don’t think the color is right for that purpose. The highlight shade also packs a punch, it is subtle yet very pigmented. I used it on the high points of my cheekbones, inner corner of my eyes and then on my cupid’s bow.

I honestly didn’t think I would like this but this palette had been my “go to” cheek palette for the

last two weeks. The whole palette is beautiful!

Pros:

Blendable, wears all day, beautiful colors, nicely pigmented.
Cons:

I wish there was a fourth color to the palette with a cool tone brown contour color. The brush sucks.

Pass or buy?

I say buy. This is a good drugstore palette to have since it’s small, quick and easy to work with.

Have you guys tried this? Do you like it?
